From 26 to 29 October 2025 Exergy will take part in the Geothermal Rising Conference (GRC), held at the Peppermill Resort in Reno, Nevada. Recognized as the geothermal industry’s flagship annual event, the GRC reflects the global nature of the sector by bringing together representatives from industry, academia, government, and beyond.
The four-day conference will feature a comprehensive program of technical, policy, and market sessions, educational seminars, project tours, and networking opportunities, highlighting the central role of geothermal energy in the clean energy transition. Topics will span electricity generation, direct use of heat, district heating, industrial applications, and geothermal heat pumps.
The United States is the second-largest market for next-generation geothermal technologies, thanks to its ongoing clean energy transition, high-quality geothermal resources, and leadership in innovation. With 3,937 MW of installed capacity, it continues to lead globally in geothermal power generation. Looking ahead, U.S. energy demand is projected to grow nearly ten times faster in the coming decade than over the past ten years, driven by electrification, the expansion of data centers, and rising needs from manufacturing. In this context, next-generation geothermal energy could provide up to 100 GW of capacity by 2050, including around 40 GW by 2035.
Exergy will be present at Booth 419, showcasing our ORC solutions for efficiency and sustainability in geothermal applications.
Our turbine engineer Giorgia Ruffato will deliver a presentation during the technical session, where she will introduce an important innovation on the Radial Outflow Turbine. This contribution will highlight advancements in design and performance, demonstrating how our team continues to push the boundaries of efficiency and innovation in geothermal power technologies.
