On July 28th, TICA’s President, Mr. Jiang Li, attended the opening ceremony of the seventh edition of Italy-China Economic Forum, with the presence of the Prime Ministers of China and Italy, Li Qiang and Giorgia Meloni. The event provided a significant opportunity to further strengthen economic and trade relations between the two countries, focusing on crucial themes for bilateral cooperation.
Key Highlights of the Discussion:
- Promote balanced and sustainable bilateral trade and reciprocal investments.
- Strengthen scientific and cultural collaboration and ensure constructive dialogue in areas of common interest.
- Address major global challenges, including artificial intelligence and climate change.
The two leaders officially inaugurated the seventh edition of the Italy-China Business Forum, attended by over a hundred Italian and Chinese companies and industry associations, including TICA.
Mr. Li Qiang’s Participation
Mr. Li Qiang, President of TICA, stated that Italy-China Business Forum has played a positive role in promoting economic and trade cooperation between the two countries and in developing bilateral relations. China and Italy should support enterprises from both countries in Intensifying collaboration in crucial areas such as AI technology development, alternative and renewable energies, and considering expansion into new sectors.
TICA’s Role in the European Market
TICA has established a significant presence in the European market and currently operates in various sectors:
- Ventilation and Heating Systems for the Business Market: NOAH air-source heat pumps with R290 refrigerant, addressing the growing European demand for products with high environmental protection standards. R290 is an eco-friendly refrigerant with a Global Warming Potential (GWP) value of only 3, minimizing environmental impact.
- Renewable Energy: Solutions and technologies for renewable energy use with a global installed capacity of nearly 1,000 MW. This sector includes the two Italian companies Exergy and Sebigas, acquired in 2019 and 2020.
- Cooling Systems: SMARDT, a TICA subsidiary, is the largest global company in magnetic levitation chillers, holding a 30% global market share.
